Mumbai’s project for increasing plastic bottle recycling

Nish came across these fascinating Swachh Bharat Recycle machines from Wockhardt Foundation whilst travelling in Mumbai. They take your empty PET plastic bottles and safely recycle and dispose of the waste! In return, users get a coupon back with a discount for Paytm (similar to Paypal) which is a great way of creating awareness and educating people on the issues surrounding waste and it’s environmental effect. This is an excellent programme for finding innovative zero waste solutions and I’d love to see more of these popping up around the world!
