Handmade costume fabric tote bags, notebooks and eyewear cases made by upcycling fabric used in Royal opera House productions. Each bag is lined with an inside pocket with the ROH costume label sewn inside. The notebooks are customised with the signature offcut, showcasing the story of the collaboration and the production the fabric is from.

KAPDAA has made 3,000 RÆBURN notebooks from parachute materials, misprinted fabrics and unsold trousers.

RÆBURN said “We have been able to extend this commitment, ensuring even the smallest pieces of waste find new use and avoid landfill. We have already sent around 300 metres of fabric to the team, who have created a range of premium notepads for customers to get added value from.”

London designer Emilia Wickstead reimagined Marino wool’s versatility in an innovative and sustainable collection inspired by nature. A portion of proceeds supports Smart Works, a charity empowering and dressing underprivileged women for workplace success.

In collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery and Gainsborough Fine Weavers, we created notebooks and note slip boxes from their end rolls, sold at the Gallery’s Gainsborough’s Family Album exhibition.

As part of the Year of History, Heritage, and Archaeology 2017, we collaborated with Historic Environment Scotland. Our design celebrated Scotland’s rich history inspired by the crown jewels of Edinburgh Castle. The tailor-made notebook is made from luxurious tweed, woven from the finest lamb’s wool at Knockando’s mill, genuine tartan cloth from Edinburgh Castle and embellished with gold foiling on the endpapers.

In conversation with Elisa about her collaboration with Kapdaa and upcycling her fabric offcuts into notebooks, eyemasks and luggage tags. Upcycling swatches, fabric samples and misprints helps tackle the waste problem.

RAH & Co creates deer leather bags, interior items, and accessories from unused hides, aiming for zero waste. Kapdaa used offcuts for the notebook spines, enhancing the look and texture. Black paper throughout gave a seamless appearance and embossing the logo in copper and silver on the paper covers added a chic, stylish touch, perfectly fitting the brand ethos.

Creating unique books for Noticeable Notebooks provided a great PR opportunity. These books narrate the collection’s journey and double as handy notebooks, unlike often overlooked coffee-table books. They offer dual functionality and support the circular movement by repurposing offcuts.

Our vibrant silk print eye masks, as pretty as tropical blooms, make perfect gifts for travelers and light sleepers. Designed for maximum comfort, they feature silk chiffon fronts, smooth silk backs and elasticated straps. Packaged in eco-friendly muslin bags, these masks offer branding opportunities while reducing plastic use.
